TERMS OF SERVICE
1. Acceptance
By installing or playing Glitch Guardian ("the app", "the game") you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, uninstall the app. The app is distributed through Google Play, so Google Play's Terms of Service apply alongside these.
2. The game is a simulation
Glitch Guardian is an arcade reflex game presented as a fictional "memory scanner". This presentation is cosmetic:
- The app does not and cannot read, scan, modify, patch, or otherwise interfere with other apps, their memory, or their data.
- Names and icons of apps installed on your device are displayed on-device only, as level names.
- The app is not a cheat tool, memory editor, or security product; the "memory defense" is fictional game theatre.
Using the app's fiction as a claim that any real "protection", "scanning", or "cleaning" took place is a misunderstanding of the product; no such service is provided.
3. Licence
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and play the game on Android devices you own or control, for private, non-commercial use. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
4. Fair play points
Scores, "fair play points", records, and bonuses are fictional game values. They have no monetary value, cannot be purchased, sold, redeemed, or transferred, and may be reset by clearing the app's data or uninstalling. We may change scoring, difficulty, and progression at any time in an update.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- interact with ads fraudulently (automated, incentivised outside the app's own rewarded flow, or repeated artificial clicks) — this is "invalid traffic" under Google's policies and harms everyone involved;
- decompile, modify, or redistribute the app except to the extent applicable law expressly permits;
- use the app's name or fiction to misrepresent it as a security product, cheat tool, or memory editor.
6. Advertising
The game is free and supported by ads served by Google AdMob, under the rules described in our Ad Policy and the data practices described in the Privacy Policy. Rewarded ads are always optional; declining them never blocks core gameplay.
7. Intellectual property
The game, its code, art, sound, and text are our property or licensed to us. Third-party app names and icons shown inside the game are the property of their respective owners; they are rendered by Android on your device and imply no affiliation or endorsement. Google Play and the Google Play logo are trademarks of Google LLC.
8. Updates and availability
We may update, change, or discontinue the app (or any feature) at any time, with or without notice. Updates may be required for continued play. We are not obliged to provide support, but we try: support@glitch-guardian.com.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with your device.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, arising from or related to your use of the app. Our total aggregate liability is limited to the amount you paid for the app — which is zero. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including under Dutch and EU consumer law.
11. Termination
These terms apply for as long as the app is installed. We may terminate the licence if you materially breach these terms. You can end them at any time by uninstalling the app.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence remain unaffected. Disputes are submitted to the competent court in the Netherlands, unless mandatory law provides otherwise.
13. Changes to these terms
We may revise these terms; the current version always lives at glitch-guardian.com/terms with its effective date at the top. Material changes will be announced in the app's store listing changelog. Continuing to play after a change means you accept the revised terms.
