AD POLICY
THE PROMISE
Gameplay stays clean. No ad ever appears while you are actually defending: no banners beside the play area, no surprise fullscreens mid-level. Ads live at the natural breaks — and every rewarded ad is opt-in, labelled as an ad, and skippable by simply not tapping it.
1. Who serves the ads
All ads are served by Google AdMob. We follow Google's AdMob program policies, Google Play's ads policy for apps, and the data rules in our Privacy Policy. Ad content shown in the app is capped at Google's PG content rating, and ad requests are tagged as not child-directed.
2. The formats, and where each is allowed
| Format | Where it can appear | Rules |
|---|---|---|
| Native ad | One row in the scanner grid; a card on the session-over screen | Always marked with an amber AD badge and Google's AdChoices icon. Only the ad's own labelled assets are tappable — a mis-tap on the surrounding grid can never become an ad click. Only shown when an ad actually loaded; no empty ghost slots. |
| Banner | Bottom of the level-complete screen only | Never on the gameplay screen. A reflex game trains you to tap fast; putting a banner next to that would harvest accidental clicks, which we consider — and Google defines as — invalid traffic. |
| Interstitial | Behind the CONTINUE button between levels, or behind PLAY AGAIN | Only after an action you chose, never on app launch, never mid-level, and never more than one per minute regardless of how fast you play. |
| Rewarded | Offered on the breach screen ("reattach") and the session-over screen ("double") | Strictly opt-in and labelled "WATCH AD TO …". Declining never blocks progress: you can always end the session or play again without watching anything. Reattaching is limited to two per run; doubling to once per run. |
3. What we never do
- No ads during active gameplay, ever.
- No ads on app open or app exit.
- No ads disguised as game UI — the game's tiles and the ad tile share a look, but the ad leads with its AD badge, which is exactly what Google's native-ad policy requires.
- No nagging loops: a declined rewarded offer does not come back harder.
- No purchases, no "remove ads" bait, no paywalls. The whole game is free.
4. Your controls
- Consent: where a consent framework applies (EEA/UK among others), Google's consent form is shown before the first ad request. Change your choice any time in-app: scan screen → PRIVACY → AD CONSENT SETTINGS.
- Personalisation: reset or delete your advertising ID in Android Settings → Privacy → Ads.
- Problems with a specific ad (wrong content, broken creative): use the AdChoices icon on the ad itself to report it to Google, or mail us at support@glitch-guardian.com with a screenshot and we will escalate it.
5. Invalid activity
Please do not click ads to "support" the game or for any reason other than genuine interest. Automated, incentivised, or repeated artificial ad interaction is invalid traffic under Google's policies; it can get the app's advertising terminated and is a breach of our Terms of Service.
6. Verification
Our authorised seller declaration is published at glitch-guardian.com/app-ads.txt, per the IAB app-ads.txt standard.
